On June 1, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan participated in an event dedicated to International Children’s Defense Day and organized by Save the Children Foundation at Lovers’ Park in Yerevan.

Among the attendees were U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia Richard Mils, Ambassador of Germany to the Republic of Armenia Bernhard Matthias Kisler, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia, Ambassador Pyotr Svitalsky, RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan, representatives of international and non-governmental organizations, as well as children and their parents.

RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan gave her opening remarks at the event.

Congratulating the children on International Children’s Defense Day, the Minister stated the following: “Today the whole world is celebrating International Children’s Defense Day, which is the most brilliant and the most glorious holiday. I wish all children of the world are healthy, study well and live in peace. You, children of Armenia, are our future, and I am certain that you all will help us have a powerful Armenia in the future.”

After the official opening ceremony, the Minister and the guests visited tent exhibits showcasing the pastry and handmade items made by Syrian-Armenians.
