President Serzh Sargsyan today attended the grand unveiling of the statue of Armenian state and military figure and national ideologist Garegin Nzhdeh at the grove located on Hanrapetutyun Street in Kentron administrative district of Yerevan. The statue was sculpted by Gagik Stepanyan, and the architect is Aslan Mkhitaryan. The statue was unveiled by Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan and Garegin Nzhdeh’s great-grandchild, Armen Babayan, as reported the press service of the RA President.

The President of the Republic of Armenia laid flowers near the statute and paid tribute to the prominent figure.
