Protest held in France’s Montpelier

Actions against Azerbaijan’s acts of aggression on the Nagorno-Karabakh-Azerbaijan line of contact continue in different cities across the globe. On April 16, the Armenian Association of the French city of Montpelier held a peaceful demonstration condemning Azerbaijan’s acts of aggression against the people of Nagorno-Karabakh in the heart of the city.

President of the Armenian Association of Montpelier Karen Mkhitaryan spoke on behalf of all the participants and called on respecting the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination and recognizing the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh.

As an Armenian citizen of Montpelier Anna Matevosyan told Panorama.am, several Armenians from nearby cities had joined the Armenians of Montpelier. The participants’ main demand, which they had previously made to the municipal authorities, was to strictly condemn Azerbaijan’s crimes against civilians and force Azerbaijan to maintain the ceasefire regime.

The Armenian Association of Montpelier has also organized a fundraiser to help Artsakh.
