Firdus Zakaryan: “One of the key objectives of the “Ari Tun” Program is to ensure the young Diaspora Armenians’ safety”
“The 2016 “Ari Tun” Program of the RA Ministry of Diaspora has been launched, and preparations are already underway,” Chief of Staff of the RA Ministry of Diaspora Firdus Zakaryan said during a March 25 press conference devoted to the “Ari Tun” Program of the RA Ministry of Diaspora for homeland recognition of Diaspora Armenian youth at the RA Ministry of Diaspora and added that one of the key objectives of the Program is to ensure the safety of Diaspora Armenian youth, reports Hayern Aysor.
“The willingness and faithful efforts of the relevant government agencies and regional governors’ offices have helped make the Program a success and achieve satisfying results. Through combined efforts, we try to not only make sure the youth’s days are busy, but also make sure they are safe. To ensure safety, doctors and police officers always escort the Diaspora Armenian youth during the visits to historic and cultural monuments, museums and their tours, and to avoid undesired incidents at Lake Sevan, the youth are always escorted by the rescue squads of the Ministry of Emergency Situations,” Firdus Zakaryan stated.
During the tours to historic and cultural sites in the provinces of the Republic of Armenia, the young participants of the “Ari Tun” Program are always joined by the ambulance trucks of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations and the regional governors’ offices, and if necessary-even representatives of hospitals and polyclinics.
“Indeed, medical aid will be provided, and the safety of the participants of the “Ari Tun” Program will be ensured during the visits in Yerevan as well. Yerevan Municipality supports the RA Ministry of Diaspora with that,” Firdus Zakaryan concluded.
