Jirair Reyisian: “No ceasefire violations have been noticeable in the Armenian-populated districts of Aleppo since February 27”

Since the ceasefire established in Syria on February 27, the intensity of military operations has reduced, and the first days of the ceasefire regime are reassuring. It is safe to say that it is relatively peaceful in Syria.

“No ceasefire violations have been noticeable in the Armenian-populated districts of Aleppo after February 27, the population is in a relatively peaceful situation, let us hope and have faith that things will continue this way until the final resolution of the issue. Despite their many domestic and economic problems, the Armenians of Aleppo continue to resist terrorism with their unbreakable spirit. They are already tired and are impatiently waiting for the day that will signal the imminent end of the war so that they can restore their city that has been destroyed and their daily lives that have been interrupted. It is the law of nature. Every beginning has an end, and the storm is followed by bright weather. However, after this ?storm’, it is hard to predict whether the people will always see bright days or not,” press speaker of the Aleppo Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Jirair Reyisian said during a phone conversation with Hayern Aysor.

The press speaker of the Aleppo Diocese added that, in spite of the ceasefire, Aleppo has had no water, electricity and fuel for several weeks, and the entrance to and exit from the city are blocked.
