The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia welcomes the agreement between Russia and the United States on the termination of military operations in Syria, as stated on the Facebook page of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“We welcome the agreement between the Russian Federation and the United States of America on the termination of military operations in Syria,” the MFA states. An understanding on the conditions for termination of military operations has been achieved between the United States, Russia and the other partners of the International Syria Support Group.

The joint statement of Russia and the US on the ceasefire in Syria had been published earlier. According to the statement, the ceasefire will enter into force on February 27 at 00:00 Damascus time.
