Over 300 Syrian-Armenians have successful businesses, and more than half of them have received loans from the government with a minimum 4% interest rate for a 5-year period. When asked if Syrian-Armenians have tax privileges or not, the minister mentioned the following: “No, they don’t have taxing privileges, but they have the privilege to apply for a loan. We also teach them Armenian legislation, provide them with one-month training courses and teach them Russian and Eastern Armenian. They integrate very quickly and easily.”
