Armenian government approves summer programs of the RA Ministry of Diaspora for this year

During its January 29 session, the Government of the Republic of Armenia approved the program for the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival and the 2016 “Ari Tun” Program for homeland recognition of Diaspora Armenian youth and the list of events.
Presenting the programs, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan informed that this year’s “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival will include four events, including Days of Armenian Dance, Days of Choral Arts, Festival of the Duduk and Other Armenian Instruments and Day of Armenian Songs, and the “Ari Tun” Program will host 1,100 Diaspora Armenian youth who will be hosted by Armenian families and will spend days at the “Ari Tun” Camp with their peers.
The goal of the programs is to strengthen the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora relations, familiarize Armenian youth with the Homeland, help them improve their knowledge of Armenian, support their patriotic education, present the customs and traditions of the Armenian people, as well as contribute to the preservation and development of the Armenian culture and cultural identity.
