Francois Hollande to participate in French-Armenian organizations’ banquet

On the evening of January 28, President of France Francois Hollande will participate in the annual banquet of the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations of France.
As reports the official website of the President of France, Hollande’s participation in the banquet is included in his official agenda.
According to “Armenpress”, the banquet will be held at l’Hótel du Collectionneur in Paris. As reports Nouvelles d’Armenie, the event organizers have announced that the banquet will be held under the high patronage of the President of France. According to the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations of France, the fact that the President of France will be participating in the banquet with the accompaniment of several ministers is evidence of the country’s respect towards the descendants of the martyrs and survivors of the Armenian Genocide of 1915 and the ongoing commitment to engage and reinforce French-Armenians within institutional structures.
The events held on the occasion of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide, the fight against denial, issues related to security and human rights, the fight against terrorism and the problems concerning Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh and in the Middle East will be discussed during the banquet.
Among the guests will be several public and political figures, artists, including world famous singer and Armenia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Switzerland Charles Aznavour, as well as members of unions and other communities of France who have suffered from genocides.
Hollande participated in the annual banquet of the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations of France last year as well.
