Russian bombers attack trucks having entered Syria from Turkey

Russian military jets have bombed the series of trucks traveling from Turkey to the Azez district of Aleppo.

According to Haberler.com, the aerial attacks killed 7, injured 10 and burned 20 trucks, writes ermenihaber.am.

The source reports that the trucks carrying cement were from Syria and were loaded at the Onjupinar checkpoint on the Turkish-Syrian border located near the Turkish city of Kilis.

It is mentioned that the trucks were sent to provide Turkey’s assistance to refugees in the Syrian region of Azez, which is located to the north of Aleppo.

The Azez region, as well as a large part of Aleppo is under the control of various types of “oppositional” groups that are leading an armed struggle against the Syrian authorities.

Some Turkish presses ascribe the bombing of the trucks to the Syrian air forces, not the Russian bombers. The circles of the Turkish authorities haven’t made any comment on the topic.
