Armenian Genocide Exhibition in Cork

An exhibition dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide will be launched in the Central Library of Cork on 16th November. 20 panels with about 100 photographs from that era will be displayed illustrating all stages of the Armenian Genocide. The exhibition will display some historical documents and books recently discovered in the library of the Trinity College, Dublin. The documents dated 1895-1896 contain reports of Her Majesty’s vice-consuls in Bitlis, Van, and Moush, witnessing the massacres and discrimination of the Armenian population under the regime of Abdul Hamid II. The exhibition will be launched by the Lord Mayor of Cork and will be opened for public until 30th November.

This is the third exhibition organized by the Armenian Community in Ireland commemorating the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide this year.
