Holy Mass dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial at the Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde of Marseille
On October 25, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, a Holy Mass was served at the initiative of the Armenian Catholic Church of France and under the direction of pastor of the Armenian Catholic Church of France, Bishop Hovhannes Teiruzian at the Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde of Marseille, reports the RA MFA press service to Hayern Aysor.
Among the participants of the Holy Mass were Vicar of the Catholic Church of Marseille, Archbishop Jean Marc Aveli, Father Archbishop Karekin Bekchian of the Diocese of Germany of the Armenian Apostolic Church, RA Consul in Marseille Samvel Lalayan, Deputy Mayor of Marseille Didier Parakian, representatives of local self-government bodies, leaders of French and Armenian organizations, several French and Armenian faithful, foreign guests and journalists.
The posters showing facts about the Armenian Genocide, devoted to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, provided by president of the A. R. A. M. (Association pour Recerche et l’Archivage de la Mémoire arménienne-Association for Research and Archiving of Armenian Memories) Jacques Oulousian and shown at the basilica for over a week, made the Holy Mass more symbolic.
