Genocide scholar Tessa Hofmann to give lecture on Armenian Genocide in Berlin

Tessa Hofmann, genocide scholar, author of numerous initiatives aimed at the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide, will hold a discussion and a lecture in Berlin on the crime of genocide, ArmenianTurkish relations and Turkey’s and Germany’s position in that context.

“Armenpress” reports that it is said in the lecture invitation that the Genocide of Christian Armenians took place 100 years ago during the First World War years.

Despite the fact that the Armenian Genocide is one of the most famous crimes of the 20th century alongside with the Holocaust, Turkey the successor of the Ottoman Empire still refuses to officially recognize it. During the lecture Tessa Hofmann will speak about the reasons why it is so difficult for Germany and Turkey to recognize the Armenian Genocide.
