On behalf of RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, RA Deputy Minister of Diaspora Serzh Srapionyan congratulated “Bells” Choir on its anniversary and particularly mentioned the following: “The Chaldr village was established by Armenians from Ani in the Russian Steppe 800 years ago. Today, Chaldr is a thriving village where the Armenians have kept the memory of their forefathers alive, have stayed true to their national identity, have preserved their culture and traditions and have built schools and churches. Dear villagers of Chaldr, today we admire the most powerful type of Armenians. We Armenians have to be a little similar to the villagers of Chaldr to be able to preserve our identity. Thank you, dear residents of Chaldr. Today, by the order of the RA Minister of Diaspora, the “Bells” Choir of Chaldr is being granted the certificate of the RA Ministry of Diaspora.”

Let us mention that the choir gave its first concert in Armenia within the scope of the “We Sing Komitas” Pan-Armenian Festival, which is organized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora.

Established in 1990, “Bells” Choir is a recipient of awards at all-Russian and international festivals and competitions and has participated in several concerts in the region. In 2013 and 2014, the choir performed at the international competitions in Poland and Spain and has received the first Laureate degree.
