Legendary dudukist Jivan Gasparyan will give a concert at the Green Theater of the Exhibition for the Achievements of People’s Economies (ВДНХ), writes Artsakhpress.

According to Комсомольская правда, the concert will be held on August 14. For tickets, you can participate in a contest by answering the following question: “Which musician does Jivan Gasparyan consider the best dudukist?”

During the concert in Moscow, the dudukist will perform the famous Two Siberians neoclassical instrumental duet.

People’s Artist of the USSR, Professor of Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, 86-year-old Jivan Gasparyan performed for Stalin when he was an adolescent and has represented Armenia at prestigious competitions. Thanks to him, the duduk, which is made from the wood of an apricot tree, has become internationally popular, writes the source.
