Citizens of Aleppo lack clear drinking water

For the past three weeks, there hasn’t been any clear drinking water for the citizens of Aleppo, which is in the focal point of the military clashes between the opposition and Syrian government forces.
Arsakhpress writes that, according to English.alarabiya.net, the reason for this is the malfunctioning of the city’s only water pump. Some locals say the pump was closed due to the lack of fuel, but others claim that it was intentionally closed by the Islamist oppositionists.
The source also reports that citizens of Aleppo have had to purchase dirty water brought with cisterns, the use of which has poisoned many people. In addition, most people remove water from wells, which is also very dangerous to the health.
