Armenian Genocide recognition resolution to be officially submitted to Belgian parliament tomorrow

The Parliament of Belgium will discuss the draft of the resolution on Armenian Genocide recognition.

Honorary leader of the Flemish People’s Movement Party, MP and author of the draft Peter de Ruver will submit the draft during the June 18 plenary session. As the author of the draft told “Armenpress”, the resolution on Armenian Genocide recognition will be officially submitted and the day of the vote will be set during the plenary session.

“This resolution is not merely symbolic. Our goal is to have the Belgian government recognize the Armenian Genocide. We would also like to foster cooperation between Turkey and Armenia,” de Ruver said. The plenary session will be held on June 18 at 15:00 Belgian time.
