Fashion designer Aram Nikolyan showcased his new “Urfa: Reborn Values” collection
On June 4, fashion designer Aram Nikolyan showcased his new “Urfa: Reborn Values” collection at the vestibule of the Museum of History in Yerevan, writes News.am.
The exhibition began with a special presentation of national costumes that have been recovered by Teryan Cultural Center and was immediately followed by the presentation of the fashion designer’s new collection.
The collection is based on Armenian national costumes, their symbols, as well as gold and silver embroidered items of Urfa.
The purpose of showcasing this collection of embroidery of Urfa that includes splendid ornaments and conveys the air of medieval painting is to make the elements of forgotten national costumes wearable not only on stage, but in daily life as well.
The collection includes clothes worn on stage, clothes that people wear in daily life, evening gowns and clothes to wear at parties with different shapes, light colors and the “forgotten” embroidery of Urfa.
