On June 3, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received famous performer of children’s songs Talin Partamian (USA), her husband Alex Besos and the singer’s representative in Armenia Andre Simonyan. Partamian is in Armenia to give concerts and entertain children.

Greeting the guests, Minister Hranush Hakobyan expressed appreciation of Talin Partamian’s performances and stressed that song is one of the most appropriate ways of conveying feelings about the nation and all mankind and a major factor for preservation of the Armenian identity. According to the minister, children’s songs are even more important since they play a huge role in providing children with the right education and help form their world views. In this sense, the minister attached importance to the singer’s plans that will help raise children to become patriotic, to improve their knowledge of Armenian and to instill in them kindness and humanitarianism.

The guests expressed gratitude to Minister Hranush Hakobyan for the cordial reception, shared their impressions of Armenia and emphasized that Yerevan was looking nicer and more accommodating every year. They attached great importance to the strengthening of bonds with Armenia, particularly among the young generation and expressed satisfaction with the programs of the RA Ministry of Diaspora aimed at helping the youth preserve the Armenian identity and recognize the homeland.

During the meeting, the sides attached importance to having a strong homeland, for which each and every Armenian must do his or her part.

At the end, Minister Hranush Hakobyan granted the certificate of the RA Ministry of Diaspora to Talin Partamian for her contributions to preservation of the Armenian identity, as well as to the dissemination and development of Armenian arts.
