An exhibition dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide has opened at the Holocaust Museum in Glen Cove, New York.
According to Deputy Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Suren Manukyan, the exhibition is a two-part exhibition, including an exhibition showcasing photos of the Armenian Genocide and an exhibition dedicated to the Near East Relief.
The event will also include the screening of the film about Aurora Mardiganian.
“This exhibition is very important. It will run until September and will be moved to another Holocaust Museum after three months. I wouldn’t like to give details since we’re currently negotiating,” Suren Manukyan said, as “Artsakhpress” reports.
Among those attending the opening ceremony were Armenia’s Permanent Representative to the UN Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, Father Abraham Malkhasyan from the Holy Martyrs’ Armenian Church, as well as representatives of the local jewish community and Holocaust survivors. The event will include performances of Komitas’s songs by students of the local Armenian school.
