Artsakh to host first Churn Festival

On June 2, the Ministry of Culture and Youth Affairs of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic will hold the first Churn Festival in the Hin Shen village of Shushi. The festival will be held as part of the plan for preservation of intangible cultural heritage.

According to the information posted on the Facebook page of the Center for the Studies on Dialects and Ethnography of Artsakh, visitors will learn about churning, and the milk products will be served in a traditional way.

The goal of the festival is to preserve and popularize the intangible cultural values of Artsakh, as well as respect national customs and traditions. The festival will include a traditional reception, games and songs, as well as performances of songs and music of Artsakh.
