40 Armenians of Dersim to participate in 2015 “Ari Tun” Program, submission of applications continues

The 2015 “Ari Tun” Program of the RA Ministry of Diaspora for the homeland recognition of Diaspora Armenian youth will kick off on June 14. The program will be held through 8 stages (each stage is 14 days) and will end on August 29. It will bring young Diaspora Armenians to Armenia where they will be hosted by Armenian families in Yerevan and the nearby areas.

More than 100 Diaspora Armenians have sent applications from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, France, Germany, Latvia, Spain, Belgium, Lebanon, the United States of America, Holland, Denmark and Syria.

There are also 40-50 Armenians of Dersim, as well as a group of 200-220 members of the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party from eight countries (Lebanon, Syria, Kuwait, Cyprus, France, the UK, the USA and Canada) have also expressed the desire to participate in the program. There will also be a group of 20 Cypriot-Armenians.

The youth will take part in Armenian language courses and will go sightseeing in Armenia.

During the camping event, the youth will participate in instructive programs and will take courses on Armenian language, native studies and will learn Armenian songs and dances. The Diaspora Armenian youth will have meetings with Armenia’s state, public and cultural figures.

The “Ari Tun” Program was launched in 2009. Over the past six years, the program has helped bring more than 5,000 young Diaspora Armenians to Armenia from 43 countries around the world. Submission of applications continues. Attached you will find the application form.
