On April 27, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received the delegation of the Armenian Evangelical Church, including President of the Armenian Evangelical World Council, President of the Union of Armenian Evangelical Churches in the Near East and in the Middle East, Rev. Megerdich Karagyozian; executive director of the Armenian Evangelical World Council, Rev. Vahan Tutikian and his wife, Rosette Rutikian; newly elected President of the Armenian Missionary Association of America, Rev. Nazareth Daragchian and his wife, Dr. Ani Daragchian; representative of the Armenian Missionary Association of America in Armenia Harout Nersesian; senior spiritual pastor of the Evangelical Church of Armenia, Rev. Mkrtich Melkonyan and Head of the Media and Publishing Department of the Armenian Missionary Association of America Andranik Mardoyan.

Greeting the guests, Minister Hranush Hakobyan attached importance to the close collaboration between the RA Ministry of Diaspora and the Armenian Missionary Association of America and the implementation of joint social, healthcare and educational programs. “It’s very important to maintain the active efforts and consolidation of the Armenian Diaspora and help Armenians become more united.”

The sides discussed the circles of future cooperation for the recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide, as well as the joint programs and actions.
