The bells of the churches of Jerusalem will also ring on April 23

On April 23, representatives of the Zharangavorats School of Jerusalem will follow the canonization of the innocent martyrs of the Armenian Genocide at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin through a live webcast, after which the bells of the St. Hakob Armenian Church and sister churches will ring 100 times, the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem reports to Hayern Aysor.
After the canonization, the students of the Zharangavorats School will perform the psalms called “Surp, Surp” and “Hair Mer” at the St. Hakob Church. The performances will be followed by a Torch-lit March from St. Hakob Church to the St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church of New Jerusalem.
In the evening, Charlotte Choir will perform classical and spiritual songs at St. Gregory the Illuminator Church. The concert will be followed by a Torch-lit March from the St. Gregory the Illuminator Church to the Armenian Genocide memorial where a candle lighting ceremony will be held.
The 24th of April will begin with a Divine and eternal Liturgy at the St. Hakob Church, after which the gathered will lay a wreath near the Armenian Genocide memorial. Afterwards, the students of the Zharangavorats School will participate in a special commemorative event. The attendees will hold a protest in front of the Turkish Embassy with calls for claims.
The special inter-church ceremony will be held at the Holy Resurrection Church with the participation of spiritual leaders and diplomatic representatives.
The events will end with a special commemorative event at the ceremonies hall of Zharangavorats School.
