500 lanterns rose to the sky in memory of Armenian Genocide victims

On April 19, hundreds of lanterns rose to the sky in Beirut as part of an awareness event called “#AgainstAllGenocides”, Lebanon’s Aztag Daily reports to Hayern Aysor. The event was organized by the ARF-D Zavaryan Student Association on the occasion of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide, but was aimed at raising public awareness about all genocides and crimes against humanity.

Films, videos and images of genocides were shown on large signs to raise awareness and get the message across.

At the end, the participants rose 500 lanterns to the sky as tribute to the victims of all genocides and crimes against humanity.
