On March 23, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan had a breakfast-meeting with representative of the ARF-D Armenian National Committee of Australia Haig Gaiserian, Director of the Armenian National Committee of Australia Vatche Gahramanian and Executive Director of the Armenian National Committee of Australia Greg Soghomonian.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues concerning the Australian-Armenian community and reflected on the events dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide.

After the meetings, the minister visited Ryde where she had a meeting with Armenian elders. Among those attending the meeting were nearly 110 people over the age of 65, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Australia and New Zealand, His Grace, Father, Bishop Haigazoun Najarian,member of the city council Sarkis Yedelian and others.

Greeting the gathered, the minister expressed her gratitude to those who have overcome many obstacles and difficulties and have managed to preserve the Armenian identity and show the best attributes of the Armenians to the world.

Afterwards, the minister and Sarkis Yedelian toured Ryde City Council.
