Armenian delegation also participated in reception dedicated to Armenia’s independence in Prague

On September 24, the RA Embassy in the Czech Republic hosted a reception dedicated to the 23rd anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia at Intercontinental Hotel in Prague, reports the RA MFA news service.
Among the participants of the event were the delegation led by Vice-Chairman of the RA National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov, Vice-President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Milushe Horska, Czech Minister for Industry and Trade Jan Mladek, senators, deputies, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Czech Republic, high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government agencies, artists and cultural figures, journalists, as well as representatives of non-governmental organizations, Czech businesspeople, members of the Armenian community of the Czech Republic and guests from Armenia.
Among the speakers were RA Ambassador to the Czech Republic Tigran Seyranyan and Vice-President of the Senate Milushe Horska. The Ambassador talked about the past 23 years of Armenia’s independence, as well as the past and current challenges. The Ambassador also touched upon the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, international recognition of the Armenian Genocide, the cooperation between Armenia and the European Union, the unprecedented development of Armenian-Czech relations, their perspectives and talked about the Czech-Armenian.
Mrs. Horska also touched upon various fields in which the Czech-Armenian partnership has developed throughout the past couple of years and highlighted the commonalities, successes and challenges of the two countries. Horska proudly mentioned the fact that the Czech Republic will continue to support the reforms taking place in Armenia.
