Organizers of Nairi Pan-Armenian Music Festival hold founding session
On April 28, the organizers of the Nairi Pan-Armenian Music Festival held the festival’s founding session at the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia. Among the participants were the Ministers of Diaspora and Culture of the Republic of Armenia, as well as members of the jury and artistic council and journalists.
Greeting the attendees, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan congratulated the organizers of the Nairi Pan-Armenian Music Festival on heralding the launch of a new pan-Armenian festival and on establishing a reputable committee and added the following: “Armenian culture plays a major role in preservation of the Armenian identity, and in that sense, such events give great impulses.”
RA Minister of Culture Armen Amiryan also congratulated everyone on the launch of the program and noted the following: “Art is the best platform that helps us ensure the unity of the Armenian nation. Through this festival, Armenians around the world will have the opportunity to establish a connection with Armenia and serve the Homeland. It is important to preserve everything associated with Armenia and the Armenians.”
Cultural figure and director of Nairi Pan-Armenian Music Festival Samvel Haroyan talked about the goal and objectives of the festival and the upcoming programs and added that “plurality is the best path for making the right decisions”.
President of the Union of Composers of Armenia Aram Satyan talked about the categories of the festival and the winners.
Director of Yerevan Concert Hall and artistic director Levon Ivanyan gave a speech devoted to the establishment of the garden for the festival.
Summing up the founding session of the Nairi Pan-Armenian Music Festival, Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan suggested that the organizers definitely engage Diaspora Armenian cultural figures in the jury so that Diaspora Armenian artists are also a part of the pan-Armenian cultural festival. The Minister also underlined the importance of encouraging the participation of young Armenians in the festival.
