On October 4, RA Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan Ara Sahakyan delivered a lecture on “Armenia: Past and Present” to the students and professors of Lev Gumilyov Eurasian National University at the invitation of the University’s Faculty of International Relations.

Ambassador Sahakyan provided background information on the history of the Armenian people and the process of establishment of the Armenian national identity. Sahakyan also touched upon the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Armenian-Turkish relations, as well as security and cooperation in the Southern Caucasus.

After the lecture, the RA Ambassador answered questions related to the history of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the peace process, as well as prospects for the development of Armenian-Kazakh relations.

An agreement on maintaining ties with the Faculty’s administration was reached, reports the RA MFA press office.
