Meeting between Minister Nalbandyan and Greek Minister of Defense
On October 29, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan met with Minister of Defense of Greece Dmitris Avramopoulos.
Greeting the guest, Minister Nalbandyan mentioned that the two countries are linked with many historical and cultural ties and that Armenia attaches great importance to the deepening and expansion of relations with its traditionally friendly country Greece.
The foreign minister added that he fondly remembers his official visit to Athens in March 2013 and his meeting with Dmitris Avramopoulos when he was Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece and mentioned with satisfaction that the agreements reached during that visit are being implemented.
The Greek Minister of Defense underlined that he highly appreciates the Armenian-Greek interstate relations hinged on mutual confidence and said there have been many times in history when the Armenians and the Greeks have fought against foreign invaders together.
The interlocutors also discussed issues related to bilateral political and military partnership.
Minister Nalbandyan presented Armenia’s and the international community’s efforts for the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution, reports the RA MFA press office to “Hayern Aysor”.
