On July 13, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received Armenian-American playwright, lecturer of the St. Nerses School of the U.S. Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church of New York and Professor Hrant Margarian and his wife, Doctor of Medical Sciences, active member of the Armenian Relief Society and Professor Janet Margarian, who were accompanied by members of the ARS Regional Committee Dianna Hovsepian and Shushan Shushanian.

During the meeting, Professor Margarian presented the English version of the study entitled “Martyred Armenian Writers: 1915-22”, the second publication of which was dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide. Margarian also informed that he has delivered over 35 lectures devoted to the Armenian Genocide at various public halls and universities across the United States of America.

Congratulating Margarian on the republication of his book and the lectures that he has delivered, Minister Hranush Hakobyan suggested organizing the presentation of his book in Armenia as a unique tribute to the martyred Armenian writers.

The sides discussed issues on the preparations for the ARS Assembly of Delegates to be held in Yerevan with the support of the RA Ministry of Diaspora in early October.
