The Guardian asks: How has the Armenian Genocide had an impact on your family’s story?
As we approach the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide, The Guardian is asking Armenians to send stories about the impact that the Armenian Genocide has had on their families.
According to Hayern Aysor, The Guardian writes: “If you live in Armenia or form a part of the Armenian Diaspora and live abroad, we would like to share your stories about how the Armenian Genocide has had an impact on your family’s history.
Do you have any items, letters or photos of that era? Has your family escaped the massacres? How does this have an impact on your daily life? We also want to hear how you will be commemorating the 100th anniversary and whether you are preparing to commemorate it in a special way.
Send your stories to maeve.shearlaw@theguardian.com, and we’ll use some of the stores when we provide coverage of the 100th anniversary.”
