Cher calls on the Turkish government to acknowledge the Armenian Genocide

World famous singer Cher (Cherilyn Sarkisian) has posted a comment devoted to the Armenian Genocide on her Twitter microblog, calling on the Turkish government to acknowledge the crime.

“I don’t feel anger for (or blame) the people of Turkey for something that happened 100 years ago, but I think the Government should acknowledge Genocide,” the singer wrote.

She also shared her grandmother’s horrible story of how the Turks came to her village, called a town meeting and shot men and boys and raped the women and girls.
