Pope’s announcement is unacceptable for Turkey: Erdogan

President of Turkey Recep Tayyib Erdogan has viewed the announcement by the Pope of Rome during the Holy Mass dedicated to the Armenian Genocide at the Vatican as unacceptable.

“The Pope’s announcement is unacceptable for Turkey. Religion can’t become a reason for irresponsible statements. It leads to hatred and hostility,” Erdogan wrote on his Twitter microblog.
