On April 9, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received President of the Haigaizan University of Beirut, the Very Rev. Dr. Paul Haidostian, who arrived in Armenia to participate in the international conference “The Mission of the Armenian Clergy of the Near East during the years of the Armenian Genocide” held at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin on April 7.

During the meeting, the sides attached great importance to the conference held with the participation of representatives of all directions of the Armenian Church and under the patronage of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

Afterwards, Dr. Haidostian introduced the minister to the various programs that Haigazian University will be carrying out in the year marking the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide. He also informed that the 35^th issue of Haigazian Journal of Armenian Studies will be entirely devoted to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide and will contain several documental information and academic studies.

Praising the University’s activities, Minister Hranush Hakobyan suggested presenting the 35^th issue of the Haigazian Journal of Armenian Studies in Armenia.

The sides also discussed new, long-term programs for partnership between the RA Ministry of Diaspora and Haigazian University of Beirut.
