Aznavour to give concert dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial in the Vatican
Famous French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour is planning on giving a concert dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide in the Vatican, as KAI news agency reports.
Aznavour will be participating in the reception hosted by Pope Francis I in the Vatican on Wednesday and is planning on talking to the Pope of Rome about the concert. According to RIA Novosti, the Pope’s insiders say the Pope knows Aznavour’s songs very well and listens to the songs by one of the world’s most famous Armenians.
Charles Aznavour (Shahnur Vaghinak Aznavourian) celebrated his 90th birthday anniversary last year. Music critics still praise his voice, allowing the singer to give more concerts and release more albums. On April 12, the Pope will serve a Holy Mass in memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide of 1915 at the St. Peter Temple.
