Members of the European Parliament paid tribute to Vahan Hovhannisyan during the plenary session of EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly in Yerevan. Vice-President of the Assembly Boris Tarasyuk had made the proposal.

“Vahan Hovhannisyan was the person who made his contributions to the development of EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly. He was a professional, charismatic, unwavering and resilient individual,” Tarasyuk declared.

Let us remind that Vahan Hovhannisyan (1956-2014) had served as head of the Armenian Delegation to EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly for many years. He was one of the most charismatic pioneers of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun. From 1999 to 2013, he was a Deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia. On December 28, 2013, Vahan Hovhannisyan was appointed Armenia’s Ambassador to Germany.
