Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili visits Akhaltskha
On March 16, Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili paid a visit to Akhaltskha where he held meetings in the building of the office of the governor of Samtskhe-Javakheti. As Akhaltskha.net reports, the primary figures and businesspeople of seven municipalities were attending the meeting.
Accompanying the Prime Minister in Akhaltskha were various ministers, including Minister of Economy and Stable Development Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Minister of the Environment and Natural Resources Protection Elguja Khovrishvili, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructures David Shavliashvili, Minister of Energy Kakha Kaladze, Minister of Agriculture Otar Danelia and Minister of Finance Nodar Khaduri.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister talked about the exhibition that will showcase the plan for the development of economic potential in the region.
Garibashvili said implementation of new plan called “Strong Region for a Strong Georgia” would begin in Samtskhe-Javakheti and added that the government has selected three areas for development, including agriculture, tourism and improvement of the business climate.
