Meeting of Ambassador Hakobyan and Vice President of India

On March 9, Ambassador of Armenia to India Ara Hakobyan met Vice President of India, Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, Shri Mohammad Hamid Ansari.

During the meeting, parties stated that the Armenian-Indian relations continuously developed and strengthened in recent years. The two stressed the importance of activation of high-level visits.

Reflecting on centuries-old traditional ties of two peoples, Mohammad Hamid Ansari specially mentioned significant input of Armenian community in the domestic life of India.

On the request of Vice President of India, Ambassador presented efforts exerted by Armenia and OSCE Minsk Group towards peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, as well as scheduled events on the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide.
Urgent regional issues were touched upon.
