Film “Olive Tree for the 100th Anniversary” to be shown in Marseilles

On April 25, the “Marseilles-Provence-Armenia-2015” Union will organize the French-Armenian Book Festival at the Borsa Palace in Marseilles with the support of the RA Ministry of Diaspora. The event is part of the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and will include the screening of Richard Findigian’s films “AZNAVOUR STORY 2015” or “Charles Aznavour in Provence” (devoted to world famous Armenian singer Charles Aznavour) and “Olive Tree for the 100th Anniversary”, as well as meetings, discussions and exhibitions showcasing the works by Armenian painters.

In April, the Ministry of Diaspora will organize a screening of the film “Sunrise over Lake Van” in Marseilles, which will be attended by the directors of the film. On June 21, singer Nune Yesayan will give a charity concert entitled “We Exist, We Will Exist and We Will Grow” (Nune Yesayan will also be giving charity concerts in Cyprus, Athens, Vienna, Belgium and Holland). In October, Hamazkayin of Marseille and the RA Ministry of Culture will organize a concert featuring performances by Armenia’s State Dance Ensemble.
