Events dedicated to General Andranik’s 150th birthday anniversary as part of the “Our Greats” Program of the RA Ministry of Diaspora

On February 24, the Department of All-Armenia Programs at the RA Ministry of Diaspora launched the events dedicated to the 150th birthday anniversary of General Andranik as part of the “Our Greats” Program of the RA Ministry of Diaspora.
Syrian-Armenian boys and girls, with the accompaniment of representatives of the RA Ministry of Diaspora and the Center for Coordination of Syrian-Armenians’ Issues NGO, visited the museum of Andranik Ozanyan (General Andranik Museum) and Komitas Pantheon.
The guide at the museum, Seda Karapetyan, presented the history of the museum and talked about General Andranik’s life and career and his glorious past. The gathered also viewed the personal items that belonged to the general and his soldiers and samples of handwritten letters that had been transferred to the museum. The next stop was Komitas Pantheon where the visitors paid tribute to the intellectuals buried there.
The representatives of the Ministry of Diaspora donated the books published by the RA Ministry of Diaspora (“Monuments of Sorrow, Remembrance and Struggle” and “Armenian Architecture of the Early Christian Period”) to the administration of the General Andranik Museum.
