Greeting the participants of the session, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan particularly mentioned: “I am pleased to welcome so many merited journalists. You represent the “citadel” called the information network. You especially have a lot of work to do this year, and your efforts, activities and publications must stem from the letter and spirit of the pan-Armenian declaration that was adopted by the State Commission on Coordination of Events Dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide yesterday. The more active you are, the stronger you will be as you resist the propaganda and falsifications of Turkey and Azerbaijan. In 2015, I expect to see you united and to see you put in all your efforts in this direction.”
The participants of the session discussed the issues on the agenda, including specification of categories and criteria for the award ceremony for Best Publication Ahead of the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, coverage of events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in the media according to regions and issues related to the recommendations made during the 7th Pan-Armenian Forum of Journalists.
