Syria’s Grand Mufti and Minister for Religious Affairs condemn Turks who perpetrated the Armenian Genocide

Syria’s Grand Mufti Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun and Syria’s Minister for Religious Affairs Mohammed Abdul-Sattar Al Sayed visited the Armenian Prelacy of Damascus with a delegation of Islam clergymen and teachers, as Armenpress reports, as posted on the Facebook page of the Saint Sargis Armenian Church of Damascus.

The guests of honor were received by leader of the Armenian Diocese of Damascus, His Grace, Bishop Armash Nalbandian and representatives of the national authorities of Damascus.

The visit was within the frames of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and began with a visit to the St. Sargis Armenian Church of Damascus on January 6.

Syria’s Mufti and the Minister for Religion expressed their support to the Armenian people on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and condemned the criminal Turks.
