Armenian Church of Istanbul marks 741st death anniversary of Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi

The St. Mary Armenian Church of Istanbul held an event dedicated to the 741st death anniversary of famous 13th century Persian Sufi poet Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi. The event included a performance by the choir of the St. Vardanants Armenian Church, as Ermenihaber.am reports.
Among the participants of the event were spiritual leader of the Catholic community of Istanbul Yusof Sag, Vicar of the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople, Archbishop Aram Ateshian, mufti (high-ranking Muslim clergyman) of Beshiktash Hezer Hilmi Ylmaz, head of the Beshiktash District Murad Haznedar and followers of different religions.
