There was a lot of commotion at the culture home located near the railway in Krasnodar on November 29. The sixth regional festival organized by the Union of Armenians of Krasnodar had filled the hall with “Armenianness” once again. It was as if you were at home, in a warm and friendly atmosphere, looking at people with longing and listening to the sounds of Armenian music. Seeing all this, you go the distance and say to yourself: “If only my people were like this always, just the way I see them now”.

The pan-Armenian festival was organized in memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide of 1915. Most of the performances were theme-based performances of Armenian songs and dances, including “Mush”, “Dle Yaman”, “Krunkner” and more. The festival had brought together 14 ensembles. The event began with opening remarks by President of the Krasnodar territorial chapter of the Union of Armenians of Russia Razmik Gevorgyan, and the gathered respected the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide with a moment of silence. The opening remarks were followed by speeches by Deputy Head of the Department for National Issues of Krasnodar Municipality Andrei Beriozin and representative of the Department for National Issues Sergei Mozgovoy. In their speeches, they touched upon the congratulatory message of governor of Krasnodar region Alexander Tkachov addressed to the participants of the festival.

The concert began with a performance by artistic director of “Narek” Armenian Dance Ensemble, solo dancer Anna Mosinyan, who was able to capture the hearts of the audience with her artistic and beautiful moves as she performed to the sounds of composer Ara Gevorgyan’s song “Mush”.

The festival also included wonderful performances by the Armenian folk dance ensembles of Tuapse, Armavir, Anapa, Timashevsk and Khadizhevsk, the folk instruments ensemble of Kanevsk, singer Tatiana Gevorgyan and others.

At the end, all the ensembles received certificates and precious gifts.
