Los Angeles allocates funds for projects devoted to the Armenian Genocide Centennial

Los Angeles City Council has allocated $1.7 million dollars for different art projects, including the art projects devoted to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and to be carried out in the Little Armenia District.

As NEWS.am reports, citing MyNewsLA.com, the Los Angeles City Council has approved the plan to allocate $1.7 million dollars for art projects throughout Los Angeles.

The funds will be geared towards the implementation of different projects, including the restoration of frescoes devoted to the Armenian Genocide and the placement of art installations along the central avenue of South Los Angeles, which hosts a jazz festival every year.
