The “Armenians of Petersburg” demand a law condemning Armenian Genocide denial
On December 1, 2014, the “Armenians of Petersburg” regional non-governmental organization addressed an appeal to the State Duma of the Russian Federation with the request to introduce articles in the Criminal Code, Criminal Procedure Code and the Violations of Administrative Law Code of the Russian Federation, according to which those who publicly deny the Armenian Genocide perpetrated in the Ottoman Empire in 1915-22 will be subject to criminal and administrative liability, reports the “News of the Armenians of Petersburg” to “Hayern Aysor”.
