Hispanic celebrities join #2015RTAG. Recognize the Armenian Genocide campaign

Hispanic playwright, writer Julio Fernandez Pelaes, poet Santos Dominguez Ramos and Chairman of the Commission on Judicial Justice of the International Union of Advocates Juan Marrelo Barbera have joined the #2015RTAG. Recognize the Armenian Genocide campaign aimed at achieving international recognition of the Armenian Genocide through the Internet.

During an event, Julio Fernandez Pelaes said the following: “Why is there no consensus over the tragedy of the Armenians within the international community? Why are countries that already know what it means to suffer from several persecutions, as in the example of Spain, have such a hard time recognizing such a great tragedy?”

In relation to the Armenian Genocide, poet Santos Dominguez Ramos has devoted one of his poems to the Armenian Genocide in which he wants to shed light on a shady period of history when one could hear “the bells of fear and death”.

Thousands of people around the world have already joined the #2015RTAG Recognize the Armenian Genocide campaign. With this, they urge Turkey and other countries not having recognized the Armenian Genocide to recognize the first Genocide of the 20th century that took the lives of 1.5 million Armenians.

There are special groups on Twitter and Facebook where people having joined the movement post photos holding a sign reading “#2015RTAG. Recognize the Armenian Genocide”.

We urge everyone to join this movement and take photos with a sign reading “#2015RTAG. Recognize the Armenian Genocide”.
