Requiem Mass in Kuwait

On November 28, Catholic Vicar of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Kuwait and the Arabic Gulf countries, Supreme Archimandrite Massis Zopuian served a Requiem Mass at the Saint Vardanants Church of Kuwait in memory of the pilots of the helicopter downed at the Karabakhi-Azerbaijani line of contact on November 12, reports the RA MFA press service.

During the mass, His Holiness conveyed the symbol of martyrdom and prayed to the Lord for the souls of the martyrs and peace in Armenia and Artsakh.

The mass was followed by a speech by RA Ambassador to Kuwait Fadey Charchoghlyan at Ararat Hall of the Armenian Prelacy. In his speech, the Ambassador talked about the issues and challenges facing Armenia and Artsakh and attached importance to the reinforcement of the Armenia-Diaspora-Artsakh triumvirate and further close collaboration, emphasizing the weighty role of the Armenian Army and its tremendous contribution to the strengthening of security and the maintenance of peace.

In his turn, His Holiness, on behalf of the Kuwaiti-Armenian community, expressed deep condolences to the authorities of Armenia and the families of the victims and informed that the Kuwaiti-Armenians are ready to support the Homeland and do everything possible to contribute to its prosperity and advancement.
