Just like Switzerland is known for its watches, Armenia also has the opportunity to become a country known for its jewelry. This is what President of the Armenian Jewellers Association of France Hovel Shnorhogian said in an interview with ArmenPress.
The owner of the French Moog and Swiss Tellus companies notes that Armenia may become a country known for jewelry within three or four years, if efforts are combined for the development of the free economic zone and the jewelry industry in general.
“We are fortunate to have a president like Mr. Gevorgyan (President of the Armenian Jewellers Association (AJA) Gagik Gevorgyan-ed.), who has made a great contribution to the creation of this free economic zone. The building in Yerevan is wonderful and like no other. There is an old inscription on the right side of the entrance to this building stating the following: “Oh! Armenian people, your salvation lies in your collective force”. We need collective force to achieve success in this endeavor. There are Armenians with potential in Armenia and abroad. They need to sit around a table in order to ensure jobs for everyone in Yerevan,” Hovel Shnorhogian underlined.
